Meet MWG's The Scribbler Editor
Jerusha Bosarge

I am a native Mississippian and freelance author/journalist. I
recently returned home from a three year stint in Jacksonville,
FL with my husband, Joey, and my three beautiful little girls:
Jordan, Abigail, and Emelia. Baby number four (a boy!) is
expected to be earthbound in June!

Since discovering my passion for writing, I have been lucky to
publish feature articles for The Mississippi Press, the
Northside Sun, the Jackson Free Press, humorpress.com, and
the Magnolia Quarterly. In 2005, I was also fortunate to
discover a brave local publisher (Quail Ridge Press)who was
willing to take a chance on a first time author, resulting in the
publication of my first full-length book, “Inventing Ott: The
Legacy of Arthur C. Guyton.”  It is a biography for middle-
grade readers, although many 9 and 10 year olds have
reportedly enjoyed it as well.

I earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Millsaps College
(Jackson, MS), which is where I learned to love science! In my
free time, I enjoy reading, playing with my kids, and learning
random new things. I love Harry Potter, wild spurts of
imagination, and lots and lots of color around me at all times. I
don’t like cleaning my house, people who won’t think for
themselves, or “Head-On…Apply Directly To The Forehead!”
commercials. Sometimes I spend entire days trying to speak in
nothing but rhyme, just for fun. At times, I can be quite loud.
My greatest desires (this week) are to get some of my picture
books published, to travel the world, to own my own boat, to
found a children’s advocacy group in Mississippi, and to start
my own publishing company.
