Richelle Putnam has graduated three Institute of Children's
Literature courses, the Advanced Writing Program of Open College
for the Arts, Writer's Digest Novel Writing Course, England’s Poetry
Kit Advanced Poetry Course, and Gotham City’s Advanced Poetry
Course. She is currently a student in the Fiction Certificate
Program through Gotham Writers. She has been a reader for E2K
Literary Journal and Futures Mysterious Anthology and is currently
a Fiction Editor/Reviewer for Soto Voce Magazine. She is a contact
person for the Southern Breeze Division of SCBWI and is Founder
and President of Mississippi Writers Guild. She is a former staff
writer for All Headline News. She is on the Artist Roster for the
State of Mississippi in the category of Literary Arts and was a 2006-
07 Poetry Out Loud Facilitator and 2007 Writer-in-Residence for
Mississippi’s Write Initiative. A speaker and writing instructor, she
has won writing competitions. Her work has been published in E2K
Literary Journal, Flashquake, Fireflies in Fruitjars Anthology, Brick
Street’s 2007 Winners Circle Anthology, World Wide Writers,
Beginnings Magazine, Suite 101’s Miracle of the Internet
Anthology, Orchard Press Mysteries, The Copperfield Review,
Cayuse Press, Writer’s Journal, Obadiah Press’s Living By Faith
Anthology, A Tribute to Mothers Anthology by Paper Doll Press, A
Cup of Comfort for Mothers and Daughters, Romancing the Soul
Anthology, Southern Hum, and more. Her children’s literature has
been published in Wee Ones, Boy’s Quest, Hopscotch for Girls, and
Appleseeds. Her middle-grade fiction, Fallout, was released March
2001. Her work is soon to be published in Teacakes and Afternoon
Tales: New Stories from MississippiAnthology and Brick Street’s
